Eat Your Roots
Nutrition Education and Advocacy

What is Traditional Nutrition? Traditional Nutrition is about connecting with food at a very basic level. It requires people to understand and appreciate traditional farming and food preparation methods, which produce nutritionally superior foods, and to eat consciously.
How is it different from contemporary nutrition? Contemporary nutrition focuses on calories in and out. Traditional Nutrition focuses on food quality, quantity, diversity, digestibility and individual nutritional requirements.
What is your service area? Eat Your Roots is located in Gold River, California (Sacramento County) and currently serves the greater Sacramento region.
Eat Your Roots was launched by Amanda Louden, Nutrition Educator and Food Coach.
